2016年3月5日（土）、ルーテル市ヶ谷教会で日本ロルフィング協会（Japan Rolfing Association、JRA）に参加してきた。2015年3月25日にドイツ・ミュンヘンでロルファーとして認定されてからほぼ1年となる。 午前中は海外のロルフィング・インストラクター（Carol Agneessens先生とRay McCall先生）の話を正味２時間（午前9時半〜午前11時半）伺うことができた。昨日まで開催されていたロルファーのアドバンスト・トレーニングのための来日だったということもあったが、貴重な機会となった。 124名の日本人ロルファー（2016年3月5日現在）のうち参加者38人。Ida Rolfがどのようにロルフィングを考えていたのか？についてのお話を聞くことができた。内容を簡単にまとめると ロルファーのエメット先生によると、Ida Rolfは、1978年に米国・ボルダーにあるRolf Institute（以下RI）にロルフィングの権利を売った時に、指導する際の指導料の何パーセントを契約書に盛り込んだのと同時に、３つの種類の学校を設立してほしいという要望をRIに出した。心理学的な部分をカバーする学校（California）、医学的な側面をカバーする学校（New York）、スピリチュアルな側面をカバーする学校（Colorado）。ということはIda Rolfは、ロルフィングにおいて肉体的な側面以外に感情的な部分、スピリチュアルな部分の重要性についても考えていたということになる。このような形の学校は実現しなかったが。。。 なぜIda Rolfは、整体のような身体的なアプローチを重視したか？それは、手に触れてコンタクトできるのは肉体的な部分のみだから（`Only thing that I can get hands on is physical’）という。 歴史が進み、オステオパシーの頭蓋仙骨療法（クラニアル・セイクラル）や内臓マニピュレーションの手技がロルフィングに入り、身体というのはこちらから積極的に介入しなくても自ずと変化するの能力を持つということが明らかになっていく。 […]
