Playing my instrument pulls my body out of shape, and seitai was maintenance I could not do without. But ten sessions and then it is finished — that seemed economical, and I was drawn to work that approaches the fascia, so I began with a trial session.
From the third or fourth session I felt my body becoming easier, and around then seitai dropped to once a month; now I do not go at all.
What I felt from the very beginning was comfort. I hear it can be painful, but for me there was almost no pain.
As the sessions built up, the connection between my mind and my body became clear, and my own vision became clear along with it. Opening HanaRaku was one of the ideas that came out of that and took shape.
As graduation came closer, I did not want it to end, so I kept putting it off. Today as well, the axis of my body was already in order, so we worked mainly on my throat, which had gone husky since this morning, and on my hands, which I overwork from playing the harp.
Rolfing is the first thing where working on the body has brought my mind into order, so I would like anyone at all to try it.
